Cherry Nojito Mocktail

Simple, delicious, and full of zip but without the alcohol, the Cherry Nojito is the perfect mocktail if you want something that doesn't require any additional alcohol-free spirits.

It combines the natural sweetness of cherries with refreshing mint leaves and a touch of lime. Super easy to whip up at home with just a few ingredients!

You'll Need:

  • 3-4 Cherries
  • 4-5 Mint Leaves
  • 1/2 oz Simple Syrup
  • 1 oz Lime Juice
  • Sparkling Water
  • Ice Cubes

Method

  1. Muddle the Cherries and Mint: In a cocktail shaker or a sturdy glass, gently muddle the cherries and mint leaves together. Muddling helps to release the flavors and aromas of the ingredients, creating a more vibrant and refreshing mocktail.

  2. Add Lime Juice: Pour 1 oz of freshly squeezed lime juice into the shaker or glass. Lime juice brings a zesty and tangy kick to the mocktail, balancing out the sweetness of the cherries.

  3. Add Simple Syrup: Incorporate 1/2 oz of simple syrup into the mixture. Simple syrup is a combination of equal parts sugar and water, dissolved together. It adds a touch of sweetness to the mocktail, enhancing the overall flavor profile.

  4. Shake or Stir: If you're using a cocktail shaker, fill it with ice and shake the mixture vigorously for about 15-20 seconds. If you're using a glass, stir the ingredients together until well combined.

  5. Strain and Serve: Strain the mixture into a tall glass filled with ice cubes. This will remove any solid pieces of fruit or herbs.

  6. Top with Sparkling Water: To add a refreshing effervescence, top off the mixture with sparkling water. You can adjust the amount of sparkling water based on your personal preference for the level of fizziness.

  7. Garnish and Enjoy: Give your Cherry Nojito a gentle stir to ensure all the flavors are well-mixed. Garnish with a fresh cherry and a sprig of mint if you like a little extra flair.

Until next time, big time cheers!
